Sanfords Crowned European Design of the Year at FAB Awards 2025

We are extremely proud to share that Sanfords Diner & Loft Bar at London Luton Airport has taken home the highly coveted 'European Restaurant Design of the Year' at the 2025 The Airport F&B + Hospitality Conference & Awards (FAB). This accolade follows on from Sanfords' earlier shortlist success in two categories - 'Restaurant Design of the Year' and 'Opening of the Year' - at the same event.
Designed by turnerbates in partnership with TRG Concessions, Sanfords is the UK’s largest airport F&B venue. Spanning 1,190 m² across two levels and seating 480 guests, the design evokes an engaging American Diner vibe downstairs, and a sleek mezzanine loft bar upstairs; a clever configurations that blends family-friendly design with eye-catching elements.
Moodie Davitt Report, a key FAB Awards partner, noted that Sanfords competed against a stellar shortlist of global finalists to claim its win, highlighting the outlet’s innovative design choices.

Announced at the FAB Awards Gala Dinner in Barcelona, this win places Sanfords among the best in airport hospitality design, setting a new benchmark for airport hospitality venues. It’s no small feat, considering the category’s 23 finalists, all of which are to be celebrated in their own right.
With its big win in the European design category, Sanfords is now a must-visit for anyone traveling through Luton Airport.
