Positioned across two levels above London Luton Airport’s Departures Lounge, the award-winning Sanford’s Diner & Loft Bar connects travellers to a vibrant hospitality experience ahead of their journeys.

Our ambition was to design a high-performing restaurant that feels effortless, immersive and escapist, creating a contemporary destination that captures the Pan-Americana fusion and spirit at the heart of the brand. Each level has its own ambience and contrasting identity, yet both are unified through a consistent use of appropriate surface materials and well executed architectural detailing. Two distinct and complimentary levels that would appeal to a mix of travellers, and to escape the usual airside routines for a more welcoming and relaxing  pause amid travel schedules and delays.

Despite the challenges of working within the airport’s infrastructure and operational constraints, the result is a refined leisure destination that resonates with today’s contemporary traveller.
