FAST n FRESH PIT STOPS / PULL UP TO THE BENCH BABY!
Over the summer months we’ve enjoyed further new journeys with our long-standing client The Restaurant Group Concessions, for their pan-Asian inspired icon Wagamama, exploring design developments for different travel formats in key UK travel locations.
Following a recent refurbishment at Heathrow T5 and a new offer opening at Birmingham Airport, TRGC opened their first in a motorway services at Extra Beaconsfield (M40/J2) bringing a fresh and nourishing re-fuel within a complimentary interior environment.
Opening imminently on the M25 J9/10 at Extra Cobham Motorway Services, the brand will also be serving and fulfilling the growing demand for a quality motorway break experience in providing a broader, high street restaurant food offer to achieve a significant milestone in UK travel hub hospitality!
We recall good times enjoying warming ramen in the minimalist interior of the first Wagamama in Bloomsbury! Thirty plus years on, we’re proud to be contributing to their brand evolution. Positive too that the recent acquisition of our long-standing client TRGC with global operator Areas brings more momentum and innovative opportunities for further raising the bar with ‘on the move’ interiors and travel hospitality experiences.

LATVIAN LIVING
In the Quiet Centre district of Riga you can find the Magdalena Quarter, a modern mixed use urban residential and commercial community in the making. A pedestrian friendly and sustainable place where the city opens up for discovery.
Since completing the design and curation of the entrance lobby and transitional corridor spaces to apartments back in Spring, it’s encouraging to hear there has been growing interest since Vastint's successful marketing with over a quarter of all apartments now let, including new tenants for the top floor Penthouse due to complete later this year.

SWEET NEW ISLAND LIFE.
Following a recent new project appointment for us from Vastint UK, we’re excited to be collaborating again on another vibrant new phase in E15. This time for two new residential buildings offering 255 mixed studios,1,2,3 & 4 bed apartment types to be fully fitted out for the private rental market. Our scope includes 2 penthouses and show apartments to be ready to market for Q4 2027.
As well as specifying and procuring apartment finishes, fixtures and fittings through trusted local suppliers to budget, our scope will also focus on the entrance lobbies, and transitional communal spaces to include artwork and curation.
All fresh and creative challenges for the studio, and with concepts underway, we’re exploring locally inspired narratives to inform our ideas for crafting and making, with distinctive solutions for the curation and finishes here at Sugar House Island.

BRUUT OF A BUILD.
Inspired and excited to share that this Dutch Brutalist landmark project is officially launched. Weesperzijde 190 now affectionally known as BRUUT, is a future-focused workplace that stays true to its iconic character conserving its heritage of this era with complimentary new interventions that will interface and regenerate spaces to use, enjoy and reconnect the local Amstel community.
As the facade currently undergoes extensive on site restoration works, our ongoing creative collaborations with Vastint, ZZDP, D/DOCK and MOSS have progressed well through design developments to tender stage, in readiness to implement future site works after the restorations. A long term project in the making!
Rewarding then to be invited and join the recent brand launch celebrations from Vastint, with the wider team out in Amsterdam. An evening of solid concrete entertainment; laughs and conversations, cheers and good beers were enjoyed by all.

SUMMER IN MOTION.
The heat was truly ON through summertime and like many, the studio worked hard & played hard maxing summer moments.
It all KO’d in June with us immersed in the atmosphere and international spirit that unfolded enjoying ‘the beautiful game’ and matches of the World Cup.
The goals!…the saves! the resilience and stories behind players, the hydration breaks, more VAR!, the Azteca!!, the deserved winners and a thrilling 3rd place playoff.
Quite a rollercoaster of apprehension and emotions (and, a few late nights!) we experienced. It all called for some much needed ‘chill out’ to follow.
Whether escaping to seek air con, or distant country and coastal locations, the studio independently seized their moments to enjoy and capture the outdoors and the best of a long hot summer. Serotonin levels topped up, and, the autumn equinox behind us, we’re now set for…Great British weather!!
And before we know it…it’ll be Christmas. Cheers!
