Lock29 at Castle Quay, Banbury, is a vibrant community‑led destination that has reimagined an overlooked canalside site into a lively hub of food, retail, culture and activity. Anchored by an eclectic line-up of independent food and drink artisans, flexible event spaces and a varied retail offer, Lock29 combines a laid‑back industrial aesthetic with thoughtful branding to create a welcoming place that celebrates local character and creativity.

 

Born from a vision to breathe new life into the canal‑side and repurpose the former BHS department store, the project’s brand identity and masterplan have established Lock29 as a dynamic social and cultural heart for Banbury and beyond, where communities gather, discover and connect.
