turnerbates was appointed by The Restaurant Group to transform Est Italian, a long-standing favourite at the Trafford Centre. Formerly known as Est Est Est, the restaurant has been part of the centre’s food and drink offering for more than two decades. Our redesign reimagined the 170-cover space with a fresh, contemporary identity, introducing a more open and relaxed layout inspired by the atmosphere and textures of Mediterranean harbour towns.

Working closely with Est’s evolving brand identity and operational requirements, we adapted key elements to suit the existing space while improving customer flow, visibility and the overall dining experience. Materials, colour palettes and spatial arrangements were carefully considered to create a setting that feels both vibrant and comfortable.

As part of the project, we also sourced and curated artwork to complement the refreshed interiors and reinforce the Mediterranean character of the design. The result is a welcoming and energetic restaurant environment that balances modern style with warmth and personality, creating the ideal setting for guests to gather, share food and enjoy Est’s authentic Italian dishes.
