At Chelsea Crescent, turnerbates reconfigured the entrance and communal spaces to redefine the arrival experience within this iconic residential building, located in the exclusive Chelsea Harbour Estate.

The existing 1980s structure was carefully removed and adapted to accommodate a contemporary extension, creating a more generous and legible approach while enhancing the sense of arrival. The ground-floor reception and shared spaces were reimagined as warm and welcoming environments where residents can meet, entertain, work or relax. These interiors open out towards the extensive riverside gardens along the River Thames, a distinctive feature of Chelsea Crescent.

As part of the project, turnerbates also commissioned and curated a series of bold original artworks throughout the communal spaces and connecting routes. Inspired by the site’s historic context and its relationship to the river and surrounding landscape, the artworks establish a strong visual identity across the renewed interiors.
