BEAR Coffee Company has evolved into a collection of flexible, design-led coffee, bar and dining spaces that bring together great coffee, fresh food and a strong sense of community. Designed as all-day destinations, each venue supports a natural rhythm that moves from morning coffee and work sessions to evening drinks, events and social gatherings.

Working closely with the founders, turnerbates has designed multiple BEAR locations across the UK, transforming characterful and often historic buildings into contemporary social spaces. Original architectural features are carefully restored and integrated with modern interventions, allowing the identity of each building and its surroundings to shape the design.

Each BEAR is rooted in its local context, creating welcoming environments that feel both consistent and individual. Flexible layouts support a variety of uses throughout the day and into the evening, from coffee and brunch to cocktails, live music, workshops and private events, ensuring every space remains active, adaptable and connected to its community.
