Exciting progress made in Riga

It’s always rewarding to see a project coming together, and this one is no different. Take a look at the progress being made in Vastint Latvia’s Magdelena Quarter. The turnerbates team completed the concept and detailed design of buildings A3 and O1 back in 2020, and this May the construction ‘Cornerstone Ceremony’ finally took place. Next stop: topping out, which will occur later this year.

As part of our ongoing relationship with Vastint Latvia, we have recently worked with them to update the design to complement the evolving workplace environments in the regional and international markets. Once all three construction stages are finished, the quarter will contain 300 apartments and over 20,000 sq. m2 of office and commercial space.

This isn’t the only design project turnerbates has worked on for Vastint in Riga. Last year, TB’s Karen and Howard were asked to decorate one of the stunning showrooms in the Lindenholma Residential Quarter – exclusively using IKEA products. This is the first time Vastint Latvia has commissioned turnerbates to create an interior inspired by a family’s travels to the UK. The apartment combines IKEA’s hygge philosophy with quintessential British cosiness.
