Coach Kitchen and Garden, Beaumaris

After visiting our stand at the Restaurant & Bar Design Show (Excel) September 2016, David Robertson, owner of The Bull’s Head Inn Public house and boutique hotel, appointed turnerbates to create a new brand and design for the refurbishment of the Bull’s existing 90 cover restaurant, ‘The Brasserie’. The brief was to develop a relaxed dining experience within a warm and inviting environment, offering customers a new al-fresco dining area in the courtyard.

The new name “Coach” was proposed in reference to the building’s previous use in the 18th & 19th centuries as a Coaching Inn.

Utilising a rich, warm palette and introducing booth and upholstered seating, turnerbates created a soft, sophisticated environment, which complimented the existing wood and stone features. The bar was reduced to increase covers and functionality within the restaurant and a sharer table was introduced for buffet breakfasts.

New paving was introduced in the courtyard alongside planting and fixed and loose seating and to allow the area to be enjoyed by customers all year round, Jumbrella’s were selected along with heating and details such as candles, cushions and blankets.
